Research Goal:
The Swiss Banking Institute (ISB) of the University of Zurich sets the engagement in
internationally competitive theoretical, analytical, empirical and applied research in Banking and
Finance as its research goal.

Teaching Goal:
The Swiss Banking Institute aims at providing an internationally competitive education in finance
and banking at the bachelor’s, the master’s and the PhD. level.

Services Goal:
The Swiss Banking Institute encourages the development of high level knowledge transfer
activities such as seminars, conferences and executive master programmes that are meant to
sharpen the financial expertise available within the Swiss financial services industry.
